Born in the Cotswolds to a Sicilian–Welsh family, Kate Ransome’s creative journey spans art, design, fashion, and photography. After studying photography in Cardiff Met, she moved to London to work as an in-house photographer at a Soho advertising agency, Tapestry, before relocating to Florence to become fluent in Italian language while working for Giulio Gridendi's studio. Kate lived between London and Florence freelancing for Rankin, Waren & Nick, Julia Boggio. Following the birth of her son, she settled in The Cotswolds and founded Little Cheltenham a business championing motherhood and female-led enterprises.
Kate currently works across The UK and Europe as a photographer, art director and producer she's won awards for her fine art photography and portrait works and has been exhibited at Tate Modern.
Her work focuses on nature, skin, tactility. She enjoys exploring the push pull of man vs nature. Taking inspiration from the human form and the natural world to create simple minimalist imagery that talks about everything from sexuality to the humours to the fantastical.
