Born in the Cotswolds, UK, to a Sicilian-Welsh family, Kate Ransome’s journey has always been rooted in creativity. With a deep passion for art, design, fashion, and photography, she has spent her career exploring the intersections between these worlds.

Her creative path began in Cardiff, where she studied photography before moving to London to work as an in-house photographer at a Soho advertising agency. Seeking new inspiration, she relocated to Florence to work in a fashion studio, immersing herself in the aesthetics of high fashion and fine art imagery.

After returning to the UK following the birth of her son, Kate founded a business supporting motherhood and female-led local enterprises. In recent years, she has expanded her practice, working more broadly as an art director and agency producer, bridging the gap between fine art and commercial photography.

Kate’s work is bold, expressive, and deeply influenced by the tension between nature and humanity with an over arching feminine gaze. Drawing from her diverse experiences, she collaborates with brands, designers, and creatives to craft striking visual narratives that feel both timeless and contemporary.

Currently based back in the Cotswolds, Kate works across London and Europe, continuing to push the boundaries of her creative practice.

Kate is an award-winning photographer, exhibited at Tate Modern, working across the UK and Europe. She creates striking imagery across a diverse range of subjects for commercial and editorial clients.

Working to create a cross over between the fine art and the commercial world. Kate creates bold expressive imagery by exploring the push / pull of man versus nature. Taking inspiration from the natural world, high fashion, post modernist design and the masters of photography to create simple minimalist imagery that talks about everything from sexuality to the humours to the fantastical. Kate works with you to create a clear visual language that talks about your brand. Working with clients from fashion brands to interior designers to agencies alike.
